Of all the canons I might want to write IDF S/Us for, I think Madoka Magica would probably be the best fit.
lea_hazel: The outlook is somewhat dismal (Feel: Crash and Burn)
You know fandom has done a number on your brain when you ought to be making an appointment with your pneumologist, and instead you find yourself googling the words "puella pony madoka magica". Just in case.

Never has a fandom been more ideal for crossover shenanigans than MLP:FIM.

All of this happened because I was popping into devArt to check for fanarts of a specific spoilery event in the most recent Homestuck flash animation. Naturally DA was flooded with arts of this specific development and now I can't pick which one I like best and will have to add them all to my favorites. All of them.

Further more this episode has also segued neatly into thinking about what to hang on my apartment walls again.

There are so many Things going on that I have to post even though I should be studying. Perhaps I'll intersperse my observations through this post?

So, Game of Thrones. I have so many thoughts, so many. My main two are: I can smell bait; and, way to hang a cliff, jackasses. How do I make it through the next almost a year until season two happens? Assuming they can bring about such an elaborate production for a regular, yearly season. Good thing I have other fandoms to distract myself with, I could never deal with fandom monogamy.

So much rambling. )

Well, this is already ludicrously long enough, rambling enough, and took *glances* over an hour to put together, so I'm just gonna hide most of this behind a cut and go ahead and post it.

My brother just had the same realization I had a few years back, regarding the childhood cartoons we watched. He said the opening song to PMMM sounded Israeli to him but of course, it was the other way around. Since the cartoons were dubbed in Hebrew and the books of origin (and thus the names of the characters and places) were all European or sometimes USian, neither of us realized at the time that they were produced and adapted in Japan.

Okay, maybe I managed to figure out Samurai Pizza Cats.

In fairness to my child self, a blonde boy named Nils is maybe not one's first guess for the star of a Japanese show. They appear to have been quite selective about what to import until fairly recently. Some of the shows were also co-productions.

...Wow, I'm checking Wikipedia and it's really almost all of them.

I feel sort of sad for my child self for not knowing these things.

Wah!
